BACKGROUND

The “Good Nutrition Starts With Me” Youth Initiative strategically engages Youth and Media networks, a highly influential yet often underutilized resource across the continent. At the start of the initiative, an inventory was conducted to identify existing youth and media groups and networks. These stakeholders were then invited to an introductory meeting to learn about AfriCAN, its mission, vision, goal, and key initiatives, particularly emphasis on the “Good Nutrition starts With Me” Youth Initiative, which is specifically designed to empower and involve them in promoting better nutrition outcomes.
